If you are traveling using an American passport you will need to apply for a visa before your trip. You can apply online through Kenya’s official eVisa portal.
Please note: you will not be allowed to board your flight without a valid visa, so be sure to complete this step in advance of your travel.
If you are traveling from Liberia, visa requirements may differ, so please check the most up-to-date guidance before your trip.
If you are traveling from any other country, please refer to the official Kenyan immigration website to confirm your specific entry requirements.

We recommend booking your flight at least 2–4 months in advance for the best prices and availability. December is a popular travel season, so the earlier you book, the better your options will be.

Yes! In Nairobi, ride services like Uber and Bolt are widely available.

We recommend booking your hotel at least 1 month in advance, especially since December is a busy travel season. Booking early ensures better availability and pricing.

Yes. Kenya uses Type G outlets (same as the UK), so you will need a power adapter if your devices use a different plug type.
You can purchase on on Amazon if you look for:A Type G plug adapter (this is the most important)
A universal travel adapter (best option if you want flexibility)
Important:
Most modern devices (phones, laptops) already support dual voltage, so you usually do not need a voltage converter just the plug adapter.
However, for items like steamers, curling irons, or hair dryers, you’ll need to check if they are dual voltage (110–240V). If not, they may not work properly or could be damaged. We recommend using hotel-provided items or bringing travel-friendly (dual-voltage) versions. -

The Koito is a meaningful traditional engagement ceremony from the Kalenjin Tribe in Kenya where families come together for introductions, blessings, and dowry discussions. It includes cultural rituals, speeches, and a celebratory atmosphere with food and community.
We’ll make sure key moments are explained so all guests can follow along and fully enjoy the experience. -
In December, both Nairobi and Eldoret have beautiful, warm, and mostly sunny weather.
Nairobi: Warm during the day (mid-70s to low-80s °F / 24–28°C) with cooler evenings.
Eldoret: Slightly cooler, with warm days and chilly mornings/evenings.
Overall, it’s a dry season, so you can expect clear skies, sunshine, and very little rain.
Tip: Pack light outfits for the day and a jacket or shawl for the evenings, especially in Eldoret.
